I have just bought my wife the above mentioned laptop computer from pc world but after a week of use my wife has reported to me that the charger unit supplied with the laptop gets very hot when in use she and i are not new to hp laptops and our current and previous units do not get as hot as this newley bought product. From a month or two i am noticing that whenever i charge my laptop ithe charger get very hot. Once the adapter has cooled off plug it back in and turn on the laptop.

If you notice the adapter is extremely hot turn off your computer and unplug it from the wall outlet. Some laptop comes with batteries that draw too much current to charge. It s not so hot that i can t touch it but it s not too far from that and i don t think laptop chargers are supposed to get more than just warm. I think high sierra is screwing up my laptop.

If it becomes hot again take the laptop and power adapter to a computer repair shop and have the technicians check it. A faulty laptop battery using the wrong laptop charger using the wrong laptop battery damaged faulty laptop charger the environment is just so hot.
