Laptop Charger Brick Hot

That i am told is due to a bad capacitor and will fail soon.

Laptop charger brick hot. Requested tech support send a replacement and they sent what appears to be a used refurb charger which has the same problems. I am debating on replacing the charger or just get a chromebook since i use a tower at home for most of my work. This is a 2008 mac laptop. From a month or two i am noticing that whenever i charge my laptop ithe charger get very hot.

A relatively warm power adapter is normal especially when the laptop is in use while the battery is charging. I just recently got a new rog laptop and i ve noticed that the power block of the charger gets really hot when i m playing a game and have it plugged into the pc. Now charger has to supply both power for the battery and for running the laptop peripherals which is the worst case scenario. When a laptop is plugged in and turned on you will notice the adapter may be warm to the touch.

Is it normal for laptop charger to get hot. Try to avoid it by charge the battery to full and run the game or remove the battery and play them if the charger is heating that much. As in i don t want to pick it up hot. Usually companies taken care of these situation and design chargers according to it.

If you notice the adapter is extremely hot it could be due to the following. Xps 13 9360 charger brick get too hot while charging help. I also hear a faint crackle. I have the same problem with my xps 13 9360 so worried that unit is drawing too much power which will eventually damage the ac adapter and or the laptop.

However if the adapter is quite hot enough that it could hurt your hand after touching it for a few seconds there could be a serious issue. I know personally my power charger gets very hot. Hi i bought an hp laptop with core i3 processor and windows 8 os in sept 2013. I think i have had 1 power brick get that hot and it was a faulty one. Maybe its normal but i d like to hear opinions comments from other users of the 90w brick.

The initial charger was extremely hot and buzzed crackled when charging.
