Dell Charger Not Working No Green Light

Dell charger not working no green light. The power cord is the cable you connect to the power socket and that goes into the rectangular brick like adapter of the laptop charger. I have a dell inspiron 17r se 7720 today the battery charge was around 7 and i tried plugin the power adapter as soon as charger plugged in the machine went off and blue indicator light in the charger also went off. Then i unplugged it and waited for about 5 10 minutes to plugged it in again. I took off the shell its a dell by the way and noticed a green lcd lights up inside.

As much as the battery can be at fault for your dell laptop plugged in not charging it can also be the power cord you are using for a laptop charger. As above there was no noise no fan activity no green light nothing. When plaged in laptop charger into laptop charger light goes off because of short circuit. First clean the laptop motherboard. Dell and alienware chargers come with a chip which the laptop recognizes as original and safe for the laptop to charge. But nothing else happens. You should definitely get a new charger.

The led of the original power supply would turn on when it was first plugged in but then after a few seconds it would turn off and not charge the battery or register that it was even plugged in.
