Charger Not Work Unless In A Certain Position

Wont charge unless in a certain position just wondering by toshiba overheated and burnt the back part of the plastic and my charger is re connected and hooked up with another charger to make it work so its not original charger long story short i have to position my charger in a certain way to make the laptop work. Ok so my charger is kind of spazzing. My phone has been charging fine with charger but then is suddenly just stopped charging unless i put it in a certain position. I don t want to fork out for a new charger without knowing if it will work or not. They are not recognized by the tablet.
