Charger Laptop Gets Hot

Charger laptop gets hot. This is a fairly old question but i have a rather unique solution. A relatively warm power adapter is normal especially when the laptop is in use while the battery is charging. However if the adapter is quite hot enough that it could hurt your hand after touching it for a few seconds there could be a serious issue. If the charger or transformer becomes too hot and malfunctions it could result in excess voltage ruining your laptop.

Since you don t want a charger malfunction to affect your laptop it s best to disconnect an excessively heated charger and bring it to a computer repair store for evaluation and possible replacement. That is most likely just the laptop drawing near the rated current of the power supply. There s also some indication that working with a hot laptop in your lap where they were designed to be can potentially cause male infertility. Battery is not charging and the fans wont stop working super hard and make alot of noise.
