Asus Laptop Charger Gets Really Hot

Same issue here with a new studio xps 16.

Asus laptop charger gets really hot. I used my laptop in an air conditioned room and everything worked fine. The initial charger was extremely hot and buzzed crackled when charging. If you notice that your laptop battery charger plug feels hot to the touch you should know that as long as it s not so hot that it burns you or has a funny smell it s a completely normal reaction to the electricity being transferred from the charger to the computer. I am debating on replacing the charger or just get a chromebook since i use a tower at home for most of my work. As in i don t want to pick it up hot. Is it normal for laptop charger to get hot. However if the adapter is quite hot enough that it could hurt your hand after touching it for a few seconds there could be a serious issue.

I actually live in india and the weather here is very hot at the moment over 48 c in my office. The situation gets even worse if you re charging the battery along with playing games. Now charger has to supply both power for the battery and for running the laptop peripherals which is the worst case scenario.
